| So Xanga has changed! I was gone for a whole two months and it up and changed on me... I don't like it. You should talk to me on Myspace or facebook instead. I think my screen names are something like leah_mcdonald2007 or leah_kate88. Much love! - Leah | | |
| HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM! .... And Justin Haynes, Justin Nokes, and Mr. Bussel! Yep. Today is my momma's birthday! I made her this AWESOME chocolate turtle cheesecake as a birthday cake... Whew, it's good! Anyway, I have to watch her open her gifts soon. Just thought I'd make a quick post since I'm actually on here! Behave, children! Make me proud. - Leah | | |
| So I got the car! It WAS a fully loaded, 1999 Pontaic Grand AM with a new red paint job... It was beautiful before I totalled it! Yeah... I totalled it Saturday, just a few weeks after I bought it. Sad, I know, but it's ok. It was just a car and just my life savings... At least I didn't get hurt! I was going 70 mph on I-40 when my messed up tires started going crazy and made me spin a couple of times, hit a concrete wall of a bridge, and then made me run in the median. It was definitely scary! haha. So like I said, I'm just thankful I wasn't hurt. Anyone that would like to contribute to my "new car fund" or my college fund is more than welcome to donate money at ANY time. haha! Just kidding! I hope you all are having a swell school year thus far! ~ Leah | | |
| And she's BACK... weird.
So it's been a few months since I've been on Xanga. For some odd reason, I feel like updating... Who still uses this, anyway?! haha!
Let's play catch-up! Haha! Here is the word that describes my summer in a nut shell: AAAAAAAAAAAAAMAZING. Why has it been so amazing you may (or may not) ask? Well I'll tell you. I've been super duper busy, but it's been great. I went to new places, tried new things, met tons and TONS of new people, gotten closer friends I already have, and I've learned a lot more about myself. I've done so many things I would have NEVER thought I would do... I joined the Tennessee Performing Arts Troupe, and have already sang in my first show. I ran for a State Council position, and I am now one of the State 4-H Senior Representatives. I am now the State Level II Clothing and Textiles Project winner, and I'm getting to go to National Congress in the fall. Talk about sweet! Those are just a few of the several things that have made my summer awesome. I'm just sad summer is all over... But alas, I must move on.
Speaking of moving on, I'm not really sure if I'm ready for Senior year to start... In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm NOT ready. It's actually kind of bitter/sweet. I finally get to be finished with high school and step out into the real world, but then it still seems scary to be growing up... College applications, scholarship deadlines, and ACT scores are really stressful... I can't wait until it's all over.
Those things are all very depressing for me right now, so I'm going to tell you about exciting things going on in my life... Probably the most exciting thing is that I am getting a car tomorrow... Oooh yes... That's right... A car. I've never had a partially cool car before, so it's going to be awesome! It's a Pontiac Grand AM with a brand new red paint job. Yep. Talk about exciting! Annoooother thing that is exciting, is that I'm job hunting. I've applied for Kohl's, and I'm supposed to be hearing back from then this week. Wish me luck! I really want this job.
Well this update is seriously too long, so I will spare you the pain of further reading. All of you children be good! God Bless.

| Hello, all!
Long time, no see.
Thanks to all of you who read that last post... Wow that was strange.
School is out as of yesterday! *Yesssss....* Freedom at last. I'm so, So, SO happy and relieved. No on to summer camps, smelly county fairs, sewing, and lots and lots of sun and hot weather. Ooooooh yes... Summer is most definitely a GOOD THING. I can't wait.
I just realized this is my LAST summer break before going back to high school... Next year and I'll be off to college! Scary thought...
Well I'll spare you all the pain and suffering, and cut this post short. I hope you all have an aaammmaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing summer. I love you all mucho (SO GLAD that I'm finished with Spanish for forever...) Thanks for reading!
